Grammar: Past Simple, Present Perfect an PP Continuous
CB: pp. 71 ex 15
How to know which tenses to use?
Secret is: SIGNAL WORDS - they help you all the time
when to use them? write this down
Signal words are clues, not fixed rules. Some words, such as since, for, recently and lately, can be used with more than one tense.
Past Simple: I worked yesterday. (a definite time in the past, cannot be repeated.)
Present Perfect Simple: I have worked here for five years. (Focus on the fact or result.)
Present Perfect Continuous: I have been working for five hours. (Focus on the duration of activity.)
Write down your sentences into your notebook.
Remember the SIGNALWORDS!
Stative verbs: no ING FORMS
