The Problem
You will always be asked to speculate about something which relates to the focus of the photos and you will never be asked to merely describe the photos. Many students  find it particularly difficult to not get bogged down with photo description. As a result, they usually spend 40 seconds describing what they see instead of performing the actual task.

The Solution
In order to help us break free from this "description habit",  today we are going to practice with the photos on page 87 using the speculative language on slide 11

Typical Questions:

How might the people be feeling?

What might they be thinking?

Why are they doing this?

What has just happened?

You will always have to answer a question about the two photos ( 1 minute)
