Conjunctions
Voegwoorden zijn heel belangrijk voor de structuur van zinnen. Ze leggen verband tussen de verschillende delen in een zin. 
Belangrijk bij Leesvaardigheid!

Wat er staat wordt duidelijker dankzij voegwoorden.

Conjunctions - Voegwoorden
  • Als je delen van zinnen met elkaar wilt verbinden dan gebruik je voegwoorden.

  • Ze drukken ook een bepaalde relatie (wat die 2 delen met elkaar te maken hebben) tussen die delen van zinnen uit, bijvoorbeeld:  een gevolg of een tegenstelling.

  • because (omdat): I'm late, because I missed the bus.
  • because of (vanwege): Jamie is sad, because of the fight with his parents.
  • as (omdat): As it was raining, my trousers were wet when I arrived.
  • since (want): I am staying home, since it is raining.

  • so (dus): He is busy, so he's not coming to the party.
  • so that (zodat): I went to my room, so that I could do my homework.
  • when (als):  The exercises are easy when you are paying attention.
  • if (als): If you don't pay attention you will not understand the grammar.
