how to use:
1) is this a +or a - sentence? 
2) + sentence as there is no not in it
3) tag gets not

Je herhaalt eerst het werkwoord, dan om wie het gaat
He is rich, isn't he? 
We will help, won't we?
They don't bully you, do they?

Wanneer er geen to do of ander hulpww in de zin staat, dan moet je een vorm van to do toevoegen (niet het ww uit de zin) 

She always listens to her mum, doesn't she. 
They like to walk in the rain, don't they?
Peter and I hate maths, don't we?

geen namen in een tag:
Sophie sings wonderful, doesn't she?

past simple:
* important when exactly it happened

past continuous: 
* hapening in the past

past simple: 
* fixed time/ time reference
* verb + ed or irr. verb
* question: did + verb
* negation: didn't + verb
* in combi-sentence usually the shorter action + when

past continuous: 
* past tense to be + verb~ing
* usually the longer action in continuous tense  + while

reflexive pronouns
* wederkerende voornaamwoorden
* usually to emphasise who did it

We did this ourselves (plural)

(kon maar beter..)
* refers to present or future
* to talk about actions which are advisable/ smart to do
* often shortened - 'd better + verb

- I'd better stop talking now. 
- He had better not drink that hot tea right away. 
- We'd better stick with the story.

(zou liever..)
* expresses a wish, if you had the chance
* often shortened into I'd rather...

I would rather listen to blues music. 
He'd rather go to Spain instead of a staycation. 
Wouldn't you rather forget what she told  you?

(zou eigenlijk moeten.._
* to give or to ask a friendly advice

- What should we do now?
- Shouldn't he stop smoking? 
- They should try that new game.

~ing (gerund)
* deze ~ing vorm (gerund) is geen tense (dus geen tijdsvorm, geen continuous)
* gebruikt na een ander werkwoord (start/ stop, like, love, hate)
* gerund vaak aan het begin van de zin
* in NL verandert het ww dan in een zelfstandig nw
